What We Do

In a nutshell, Revolver Digital works with artists who show potential to take the stress out of digital music – we use our three decades of experience to work with a host of digital music stores, delivering your music to the digital stores that matter exactly how it needs to be. (Plus, we do all of the odious back-office work you never hear about!)

We’ve partnered up with the best services in the industry to ensure your content gets to the stores on time and with the right data. Unlike other competitors, we don’t charge for ISRCs (International Standard Recording Codes) or barcodes – to sell on the biggest platforms you need to have both, and we don’t think it’s right for others to charge for them.

Revolver Digital wants to help empower artists in these turbulent times within the industry. As well as our core service to unsigned or independent artists, we proffer the latest in advice, news and sometimes a few special offers. Subscribe to our site and all of these will be delivered straight to you via email or RSS…

Which online stores do you deliver to?

A load of places! Some you may have heard of and some you may not have (like Simfy in German or Deezer in France) – but rest assured, we only focus on the legitimate services that both specialise in niche genres (e.g. Loudtrax, for all metalheads!) and, most importantly, make money for musicians. Here’s a list of just a handful of the digital retailers we distribute to:

  • iTunes Music Stores worldwide
  • VidZone (sole suppliers of music & video for Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and every UK mobile operator)
  • Rhapsody (formerly RealNetworks)
  • mFlow
  • 7Digital
  • iHeartMusic (US only, formerly Thumbplay – suppliers of digital music to American mobile networks, a big new player)
  • We7
  • Spotify
  • Medianet
  • LoudTrax
  • Limewire
  • Gogoyoko
  • HMV Digital
  • Synacor
  • Samsung Digital

and loads more besides. If we put the full list here you’d have to scroll for a minute to reach the end! Here’s a slightly more detailed list.

What’s unique about us?

Well, for starters we’ve been in the music business since 1978. Yes, 1978. We know what we’re talking about. Compared with other similar websites on a like-for-like basis, we provide no barrier to entry – but more importantly we offer so much more; synchronisation services, real industry insight and some unique opportunities not available elsewhere. We’re also brutally honest with all artists we speak to — if your music’s not good enough, we’ll tell you! — but we think there’s been far too much secrecy around this aspect of the music industry so we’re happy to educate and demystify the system wherever necessary for your benefit. After all, it’s your music, isn’t it?

We also actively pursue licensing deals, go to all the major music conferences, speak with partner organisations – basically do all the legwork so you don’t have to. If your music is good enough, we’ll shop you to labels, publishers and music supervisors worldwide. A unique service? We think so.
